இன்று காலை வவுனியாவிலிருந்து யாழ்ப்பணம் நோக்கி பயணித்த தனியார் பேருந்து புகள்பெற்ற முறிகண்டி பிள்ளையார் கோயிலை அண்மித்த வேளை வளைவில் வேகமாக திரும்பும் போது வாசலில் நின்ற நடத்துனர் தவறிகீழே விழுந்த நிலையில் அதே பேருந்தின் சில்லுக்குள் அகப்பட்டு பரிதாபமாக உயிரிழந்துள்ளார்.


மேற்படி உயிரிழந்த நடத்துனரின் சடலம் கிளிநொச்சி வைத்தியசாலையில் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 உயிரிழந்தவர் வவுனியா கோயில் புளியங்குழத்தை சேர்ந்தவர் என அடையாளம் காணப்பட்டுள்ளது.
